VIVIAN HUMPHREY COGDELL

Prophetess, mentor, motivator, preacher, evangelist, and teacher who operates in the fivefold ministry. A fervent passion for winning souls for Christ, she “birthed” Word Afire Ministries, a holistic ministry catering to the spiritual, emotional, psychological and physical needs of people seeking spiritual guidance during this twenty-first century. She ministers the relevant Word of God with an ambiance of faith and hope to God’s people.

 

Vivian was born, reared and educated in Tar Heel, North Carolina. She accepted Christ as Lord and Savior of her life in 1985, and accepted His call to a “Ministry of sharing the Preached Word” in 1987. She holds a BA in Theology from Apex School of Theology. Her awesome anointing has positioned her to travel extensively throughout the United States, conducting revivals, conferences, and workshops, as well as serving as a special guest at various women's retreats, leadership conferences, and singles’ empowerment symposiums.

 

One of the greatest joys in life is her loving husband and Pastor, Duane Cogdell. Together they established and pastor Word Afire Ministries Church in Dunn, NC. Their desire is to grow and empower the people of God for kingdom living.

 

DUANE COGDELL

Pastor Duane is an educator, mentor and motivational speaker with a M.Ed. in Behavioral Intervention and Treatment. He served in the US army and retired with 24 successful years of service. God continues to gift her with an end-time; breakthrough anointing that penetrates Satan’s strongholds and exhibits the power of God. Her obedience to live and preach a “revealed Word” symbolizes the “Great Commission.”
